Aomori Spring Ski Resort

This is a full-scale ski resort located at the foot of Mt. Iwaki, the highest mountain in Aomori Prefecture. It’s fully equipped with slopes, an onsen spa and a hotel, so while staying in the area, you can enjoy winter sports. Aomori Spring is proud of its well-maintained slopes that are located from the peak to the foot of the mountain and its more-than-30 kinds of snow park facilities. All of the courses have their own distinct characteristics including those with a view of the primeval beech forests and the beautiful Tsugaru Strait, an enjoyable high-speed curving course with good compacted snow, a difficult course with a maximum angle of 30 degrees, and an area with fresh powder snow. Also, at the snow park which was developed by the internationally famous Development Snowparks, there is a half-pipe facility that is rare in Japan which can be enjoyed by freestyle skiers and snowboarders with its genuine jumps and turns.
