Traditional Crafts Experience in Morioka Handcrafts Village

This village presents in a same place all the traditional industries of the Morioka Region. In the Handmade Studio zone, the visitors will be able not only to observe experienced craftspeople working on traditional craft products, local food and sweets, but also try handcrafts by themselves under the guidance of craftspeople. The houses in the Nanbu Magariya zone are relocated dwellings typical of the region, where horse-breeding was flourishing in the past. The Magariya house in the village was allegedly built at the end of the Edo period.
