Strawberry picking

It is hard to believe but in Sagae, it is possible to pick strawberries when it is snowing. The view of greenhouses in strawberry plantations covered with snow is typical scenery in the snowy region of Yamagata. Enjoy picking strawberries in a hot greenhouse filled with the sweet flavor of the fruits while heavy snow is falling outside. Usually, the strawberry season starts in June but we offer a foretaste of spring here even in cold winter.
